    Puyallup Tribe to Open Cedar Wellness Center | Wellness

    The Puyallup Tribe of Indians has announced the opening of the Cedar Wellness Center, a clinic dedicated to treating those who are dealing with opioid addiction. The clinic, which is set to open May 7, is 12,000 square feet will be open to all. 

    “This is a nationwide issue that has struck our community at an alarming rate, affecting the quality of life of so many people we care for and love,” the Puyallup Tribal Council said in a recent release. “We will continue to support those battling addiction on their journey to recovery.” 

    The Cedar Wellness Center will be an outpatient facility and will provide individualized case management and will treat patients with methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. The clinic will treat patients with opioid addictions such as fentanyl. It will also help patients who suffer from other substance addictions such as methamphetamine, alcohol, and others, according to the release. 

    “Everyone’s journey is individual to that person, and this clinic will help them on the way,” the Puyallup Tribal Council wrote.

    The clinic will accept Medicare and Medicaid and patients can walk in and be evaluated, seven days a week. The clinic’s hours will be 6 a.m.-2 p.m. on weekdays, and 6-10 a.m. on weekends and holidays.

    The Cedar Wellness Center is located at 503 E. 26th St., near the Tacoma Dome.
