Losing weight is one of the most personal and challenging journeys anyone can undertake, but it’s also one that no one should have to face alone!

For Cindy Bickford and me, Lizzy Snyder from 92 Moose, that journey took us to Dr. Brian Gillis at the Wellness Center in Oakland, Maine, where we found not just results but supportive people that changed our lives.

Recently, Cindy and I along with two other successful women were asked to be on the cover of What About Maine Magazine to show off how amazing the wellness center is. But first, let’s dive into Cindy’s heroic story of losing over 100 pounds!

Cindy’s story begins in April 2023, at a weight of 270 pounds. Emotional eating had taken its toll for her, and while she lost 25 pounds on her own, her progress stopped by August. But she was determined not to regain what she had lost, Cindy turned to Dr. Brian Gillis at the Wellness Center after a friend’s recommendation.

Under Dr. Gillis’s care, Cindy started with compounded Semaglutide injections, later transitioning to Tirzepatide, a decision made collaboratively. The results were extraordinary!

Cindy lost a total of 106 pounds by August 2024.

Through this journey, Cindy found not only weight loss but a renewed sense of confidence.

“Every single person at the Wellness Center has been so helpful and encouraging. I truly believe Dr. Gillis cares about each and every one of his patients.”

For me, the road was a bit different but no less transformative. Using Semaglutide injections, I lost over 40 pounds and found a new level of energy and health. I used the shot as a tool along with lots of exercise, eating right, and taking vitamins.

This shared experience brought Cindy and me together in an unexpected way, we were both invited to grace the cover of the popular, What About Maine Magazine, which featured the Wellness Center and its amazing success stories.

Weight loss is not a one-size-fits-all journey, but what Cindy and I have learned is that it doesn’t have to be a solo journey either. Whether it’s emotional eating, stalled progress, or the fear of trying something new, the Wellness Center offers a path forward with the guidance of a trusted professional like Dr. Gillis.

If you’ve been considering weight loss injections or need help overcoming barriers, take Cindy’s advice: “Please don’t jump in blindly with the internet. See Dr. Gillis. You won’t be disappointed.”

In the coming New Year, take advantage of this opportunity and the amazing deals that Dr. Gillis is offering right now. For the month of January they are offering their starting dose of Semaglutide for only $199 a month!

New patient enrollment starts Jan 8th 1-6 at both their Oakland and Brewer locations. The consult is free and no appointment is needed! What do you have to lose? Except weight!
