Standards spell out the breed’s physical characteristics that give it its unique shape, movement, and overall appearance and enable it to perform the job its original developers intended. Santa Cruz, CA CNN — Melissa Wolf’s clients come in all shapes and sizes. Some have two legs, some have four. All of them need a second chance. Wolf is the founder of UnChained, a nonprofit in northern California that pairs vulnerable young people, often living in juvenile correction facilities, with abandoned or abused dogs that have been rescued from shelters. The youth learn to train the dogs in basic skills and better prepare them for adoption. The program’s goal is twofold: decrease juvenile recidivism and save animals’ lives. “There’s a lot of reciprocity between dogs and humans,” Wolf said.…

We’ve all heard of designer dogs who sell for thousands of dollars — like the totally adorable but often irresponsibly bred Frenchieopens in new tab. You may even be up-to-date on debates around Svalinn dogs, opens in new tab the luxury bodyguard pups who sell for $150,000 after years of inhumane training. But Cadabomb Okami puts all of them to shame. The fluffy brown canine was recently sold for the equivalent of 5.7 million U.S. dollars, making him the most expensive dog in the world. Synopsis of the Dog Man movie Officer Knight and his canine sidekick Greg are a match made in…
