Video Shows How Life Changed for Big Dog When Owners Adopted a Puppy

It’s always entertaining and emotional to see a big dog meet a tiny new companion. It starts with sniffing, looking around carefully, and a little bit of doubt. But once that bond clicks, it can be the start of a friendship that feels like it was always meant to happen. That’s exactly what happened for Axel, a five-year-old Doberman, when his family adopted Karma. The Instagram video capturing their journey shows just how much a new friend can transform a dog’s world — and the result is pure joy for everyone watching.

Instagram video shows two dogs bonding like there’s no tomorrow

The video begins with Axel carefully meeting tiny Karma, who’s fearless from the start. Instead of shying away from his larger frame, she jumps straight into play. Before long, the two are trading nose kisses at home, as if they’ve known each other forever.

In the next scenes, you can see their bond getting stronger. At one point, they are following each other around the yard with their tails flying. In another, they are sharing a tree branch and pulling at it together, which is very funny. Even though they are different sizes, they are a team and know how to have fun.

Fast-forward a few months, and Karma’s grown into a lanky adolescent. The dynamic hasn’t changed, though; whether she’s running alongside Axel or sticking her entire snout in his mouth (a move only closely-bonded dogs could pull off), they remain inseparable. By the end, Karma’s almost as tall as Axel — but the way they stick together makes it clear nothing has changed.

Their human sums it up perfectly in the caption: “Karma is the absolute sweetest, and it warms my heart to see these two together like this.” The 18.5k likes on the post show just how much the video resonated with fellow dog lovers. One person said, “They are the happiest dogs,” while another agreed, “I’ve enjoyed watching Axel and Karma, thanks for sharing them with everyone!” Thank you, indeed.
