All dogs are beautiful in our eyes, but some just have something extra that takes their beauty to a whole new level. When it comes to rare-breed mixes, seeing features or colors we’re not used to adds to the spectacular and adorableness of it all, and these pups tend to be very memorable.
And this video of a stunning Golden Retriever-Bernese Mountain Dog mix is the perfect example of how two very distinct-looking breeds can somehow still shine through. Her features are so gorgeous that she’s a real, true beauty.
Social media user @tootsiedrama shared a video of their stunning dog, Tootsie, a mix of two very beloved pups that we don’t often see combined. She’s a stunning half Golden Retriever and half Bernese Mountain Dog, and somehow she has all the features of a Golden while in the coat of a Berner—she oozes charm.

In the comments, thousands of people left messages about how stunning this pup is, and they had some words to share.
One person wrote, “I like how anything mixed with a Golden just looks like a Golden format with different color palettes.”
Another shared, “I just know she’s the biggest, BIGGEST BABY ever just from those eyes.”

Both Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs Have Kind Personalities
Toostie, the mixed-breed dog, is such a sweet charmer; it’s easy to understand why so many people have fallen in love with her looks and personality. And all that makes sense because both the Golden Retriever and Bernese Mountain Dog are known for being true charmers, according to experts.
The American Kennel Club says Golden Retrievers are “intelligent, friendly, [and] devoted,” while the Bernese Mountain Dogs are considered “good-natured, calm, [and] strong.” The Golden is part of the “sporting group,” which is said to be “well-rounded,” and the Bernese Mountain Dog is from the “working group,” which is “strong, watchful, and alert.” These are much-loved qualities in a pet, so it makes a lot of sense that when combined—called the Golden Mountain Dog—they’re so loved.
Wag! explains that the Golden Mountain Dog is usually black or brown and has a thick coat that needs grooming to stay shiny and untangled. These pups have a “reputation for being gentle giants,” and they love to make their families happy. Add in their intelligence, easygoing attitude, and love of work and tasks, and they’re a dream to add to the family.
