Ingle Park is officially home to an off-leash dog park complete with agility activities and plenty of shade for pet parents and their furry companions.
Local officials welcomed more than 20 dogs to the official ribbon cutting, who were treated to snacks provided by Milly’s Pet Bakery along with plenty of head pats and belly rubs.
Dogs roamed an expansive hillside location featuring separate areas for small and large dogs, however, pups of all sizes were on their best behavior as they zoomied together on opening day. They were all very good girls and boys.
The city of Cullman announced its plans to relocate the dog park at Heritage Park to the nearby Ingle Park almost one year ago.
The new park was designed, in part, based on community feedback including a larger play area and new equipment. Parking, located off Main Avenue behind Grace Chapel Church, is much closer to the park in an effort to make the space more accessible.
Equipment located at Heritage Park will be refurbished for another new dog park to be located at East Side Park which is set for its own upgrade.
