EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A man who survived a vicious attack by three neighbor dogs shared the moments leading up to the attack.
Tyler Marchese is a resident of Heritage Park, a trailer park complex in Northeast El Paso.
On Wednesday afternoon, three dogs attacked three individuals according to the El Paso Police Department, one of which was Marchese.
Marchese jumped in to help save the lives of two of his neighbors who were being attacked by three pit bulls.
Marchese had to be taken to the hospital but said he doesn’t regret stepping in to help.

“I was sitting inside listening to music and then I just hear women scream and I come outside and at first I think they are fighting and then I just see a dog attacking a lady and I just take off barefoot and I went to go try to do my best, and then once I saw there was 3, I was like this is going to be a lot harder,” said Marchese.
“The dogs were biting us, biting us, biting us, and finally she was able to get inside and I and the other girl started fighting for however many minutes to stay alive, get to a high place, somewhere we could not get bit anymore cause even on that little playground we were still getting bit,” he said.
While Marcheses suffered serious injuries to his face, arms, and leg, he said he didn’t second guess his decision.
“I heard screaming and the elderly lady reminded me of my grandma so I couldn’t really, I’m not going to comment, I just wanted her to be safe and the other woman as well to be safe,” he said.
A spokesperson with El Paso Animal Services said the three dogs are in custody and will remain in quarantine for the next 10 days.
Marchese’s mother is raising concerns about the breed of the dogs involved in the attack.
“I mean if you wanna have Pitbulls that’s fine but have it at your own house. I don’t even know how they got out of where they were supposed to be kept,” said Fiona Marchese.
While the question of how the dogs escaped their home remains, Marchese has a message for the owners.
“See what this has caused and you make your decision. I think he, him, they, he, she, couple, older couple, I don’t know who it may be but just realize the pain this has caused the neighborhood,” said Tyler Marchese.
The investigation is ongoing.
