A Dog’s life indeed! Pet owners are spoiling their posh pooches more than ever — even spending $10,000 on a plane ticket for their furry friend, per the New York Post.
According to BARK Air president Michael Novotny, the airline has flown more than 1,000 dogs on 142 flights, resulting in $6 million in revenue. (A flight from New York to Fort Lauderdale is roughly $900, while a flight to L.A. is about $2,800; prices are much higher when flying overseas.)
“We have taken a 200-pound Bernese Mountain Dog and Yorkies,” he shares with The Post. “We get to know every dog, so we know their needs. The emotional cost of leaving your dog at home is greater than the financial cost.”

While Fido is flying the friendly skies, he can enjoy complimentary treats and calming music. “I knew there was a demand,” Novotny says of creating BARK Air. “You don’t have to worry about them being sad at home.”
The only thing you have to worry about is the credit card bill when it comes.
