If so, you have Delaware’s most popular dog breed with Delaware’s most popular dog name, according to U.S. News and World Report.
Here are the top three most popular dog breeds in Delaware:

Nationwide, the top three dog breeds are:

Labs rank in first place in 18 states. German shepards come in fifth nationwide.
Interestingly, Delaware and Virginia have the same top three dog breeds.
U.S. News analyzed data including dog breeds and zip codes from Fletch, a pet insurance company, to determine the nation’s most popular dog breeds, the website says.

Nationwide, the top three dog names are:

Max falls at fourth on the nationwide list; Cooper falls at ninth. In fact, Cooper wasn’t in the top ten at all last year. The only other state in which Cooper is the most popular dog name is North Dakota.
U.S. News speculates Luna’s popularity stems from the “Harry Potter” character, but the word also means “moon” in Spanish and Italian.
U.S. News analyzed data including pet names and states from a “pet insurance industry partner” to determine the most popular dog names, the website says.
