There’s no better morning call than a pair of paws in one’s face, and this video of a rescue dog trying to wake his owner up proves the same. Cactus, Instagram’s popular pup who was found in the deserts of California and now lives in Miami, is back with another adorable candid moment. The furbaby once again proved he had his doting dad wrapped around his paws. A recent video showed Cactus getting needy when his favorite human decided to sleep in.

Viral Instagram video shows rescue dog making attempts to wake owner up

The latest hilarious video of Cactus, the rescue dog, showed he has the house rules set for his dad, Mike Brown. The sweet pup made it clear that there was no sleeping in on his watch. This time, Cactus was the one with the commands, and his dad had to ultimately listen. The video, which has racked up almost one million views, gave a glimpse of the rescue pup attempting to wake Brown in the morning.

The candid moment began with Brown’s girlfriend telling Cactus, who was sitting on the bed, to wake his daddy up. The rescue pup softly barked, seemingly saying, “Wake up!” After letting out a huge yawn, Cactus proceeded to get on with his morning duties. The canine jumped on his dad, who was snuggled in the blanket. Cactus tapped Brown a few times while he tried to get some extra sleep. The dad asked his furbaby, “Can I not sleep more?”

Cactus then replied with a firm no-sounding bark to his dad’s question. The pup reiterated his answer with a second bark, again sounding like a “no.” It was then that Cactus’ dad finally decided to wake up and pulled him in for some cuddles. Meanwhile, Brown shared his amusement over the candid moment. He wrote in the caption of the Instagram Reel, “Sleeping in? Not in this house.”

Brown continued to share that his girlfriend “trained Cactus to be her personal wake-up crew.” The loving dog dad added, “Now every morning starts with paws, kisses, and zero regard for personal space.”
