Exceptionally Rare Dog Breed Looks Like a ‘Muppet’ As She Shows Off ‘Whimsical’ Dance

Some blessed pups are born with more beauty and grace than necessary, and they need an outlet to show it off. Thanks to social media we all get a glimpse of all the little stars in action and I, for one, couldn’t be more grateful.

One of these talented babes comes from an extremely rare breed with less than 1,000 dogs left in the world, and her biggest flex? She’s a total dancing Queen who can’t skip out on a good beat.

I couldn’t be any more in love with Belgian Laekenois, Saz, if I tried. She embodies all the good things about dogs: joy, intelligence, and fun!

Though some noted Saz is “the’s the most dog looking dog” they’ve ever seen, others couldn’t help but compare the dancing pup to a Muppet. Either way, her fans are here to support everything she does.

“Saz, honey, you are a super star,” one person praised. “Not to be dramatic, but I would lay down my life for this dog,” another joked. Another added, “Whimsical girl, I love you,” to which Mom replied that “whimsy is her strong suit.”

As the AKC describes the newly-recognized breed, the Belgian Laekenois is “strong, agile, and full of life,” and if that doesn’t describe sweet Saz, I don’t know what does.

Of the four breeds native to Belgium, it’s the Laekenois that claims the “rarest” title, so I guess you could say Saz is really special.

These cute pups are known to be protective but affectionate with their trusted inner circle and observant and reserved with strangers. They also require a moderate amount of exercise a day and yes, dancing counts!

She’s not the only super cool Laekenois in her pack. Along with Nyx, Hoti, Riku, Saison, Rival, and Yonder, Saz is surrounded by greatness. If you think about it, their existence means there are seven more rare pups to love.

Saz could do a whole routine or she could do nothing and she’d still be the coolest pup around. Here’s hoping to the education and conservation of the dying breed if for nothing else than to see more dogs like Saz living their best life (as they all deserve).
