A teenage girl and a dog have been ‘attacked with stick’ while at an English Heritage site.

Police have released a photo of a suspect following the incident at Cirencester Amphitheatre at around 11am on Monday 2 December.

The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was hit with a walking stick – as was her dog.

She sustained reddening to her arm, and her dog is not believed to have been injured.

“Investigating officers have conducted enquiries but are yet to identify the woman pictured and are now asking for information from the public”, a Gloucestershire Constabulary spokesperson said.

Adding: “Anyone who recognises the woman pictured or has any information about what happened is asked to complete the following online form quoting incident 218 of 2 December: https://orlo.uk/tKoS8.”
