Student Health Services

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
CAPS provides support for students facing mental health concerns and challenges. Services offered at CAPS include short-term individual counseling that follow a brief model, group counseling, case management to connect students to long term counseling and/or psychiatry, psychoeducational workshops and same day support where students in distress can walk in or call in to speak with a counselor.
Project OCEAN (On-Campus Emergency Assistance Network)
The mission of Project OCEAN (On-Campus Emergency Assistance Network) is to educate the campus on suicide prevention and promote a climate that reduces the stigma associated with mental health and mental illness and encourages students to seek help when needed. The Project OCEAN team offers students mental health resources, trainings, workshops, events and peer-to-peer programs.
Financial Health
The Financial Literacy 101 user-friendly platform empowers students by providing essential tools and knowledge to manage their finances effectively. Interactive lessons on budgeting, saving, and investing helps students build confidence in their financial decisions and can help reduce stress and anxiety, contributing to better mental health. Students can use the code CSULB-ALL to gain free access for life to this resource.
