Mike Brown recently took to Instagram to share a video of his first day with his rescue dog, Cactus. The name of the pup is very fitting, as he was rescued from the deserts of California. The canine now lives a happy life with his dad in Miami, having found his forever family in Brown.
The pet parent recalled in the post’s caption how Cactus used to be “skinny, scared, and unsure of everything around him.” The rescue stayed “curled up in the corner” when he first arrived in his forever home. Moreover, he was “timid” to the point that his human started worrying if “he would ever feel safe” in his new home. However, Cactus showed his dad that he didn’t need to worry, as he eventually became Brown’s “happiest, most loyal companion.”
The video began with the rescue dog and his parent cuddling in the present. The next clip captured Cactus jumping with joy as his to-be dad interacted with him before picking him up to take him home. The puppy then rode Brown’s car back home, sitting beside him throughout the ride. However, he hid under the bed once they had reached their destination.
But the scared pup soon became comfortable around his parent. The following clip captures Cactus playing with his dad in an enthusiastic manner. He also cuddled with him in bed, with Brown kissing his nose as he was drifting off to sleep. The Instagram video of the rescue dog went viral shortly after the pet parent posted it. It has now garnered more than 1.2 million views and 95.6k likes, with netizens flooding the comment section with love for the duo.
